Tunbridge Wells is a spa town, situated on the Kent and Sussex border.The town is one of the most fashionable towns in the south of England, attracting shoppers and visitors from across Kent and Sussex. There are numerous restaurants in the town including the Michelin starred Thackerays, and restaurants owned by Antonio Carluccio and Raymond Blanc. A prestigious Hotel du Vin is also situated in the town. There are also plentiful bars and coffee shops and hundreds of shops in the town centre, including two department stores (Fenwicks and Hoopers) and leading high street retailers.. The historic Pantiles, one of the oldest and finest pedestrian shopping areas in the country, complements the award-winning Royal Victoria, a large and very popular shopping mall.
