Riverview Lodge was built in 1874 and was formally known as Borstal Manor. The remains of an underground French hospital and a labyrinth of tunnels dating from Napoleonic times are to be found sixty feet below ground, beneath the rear garden.
The Lodge is situated on one of Rochester most idyllic roads with stunning views of the River Medway. The Historic City of Rochester provides the perfect backdrop for those on a short break, wishing to explore its rich history and culture, with many events and festivals running throughout the year.
