Elizabeth's Restaurant

At Elizabeth's, our aim is to provide excellent food and value for money. And we are located in Rochester's historic high street - 2 minute's walk from the cathedral and castle.

We source a lot of our food from local markets and producers, ensuring the highest quality and freshness of flavour.

We have over 80 different carefully selected wines, ports and brandies to choose from, and we are able to help you find the best wine to suit your chosen meal.

Our range of menus suit even the most discerning of palates, with a good choice of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes - not to mention our simply delightful desserts. Our comfortable and relaxed atmosphere teamed with our stunning dishes and drinks provide the perfect place to meet with friends or family for a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, or simply for a get together with good conversation.

We take pride in our highly professional but friendly service, which is an Elizabeth's hallmark.

The wonderful Tudor buildings where Elizabeth's of Eastgate is housed date back to the 16th Century, with many original features still intact.

Elizabeth's was quoted in the novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens as the home of Uncle Pumblechuck.

At the turn of the 20th Century the building was known as Mr Seeley's Drapers, providing the local women with all their drapery requirements.

Years later, it was transformed into Elizabeth's Tea Rooms and owned by a lady called Elizabeth - and the rest is history.

Excellent modern european restaurant. First class food and service, also an extensive wine list. Located in Rochester's historic High Street 2 minutes walk from the Cathedral and Norman Castle. We offer a 2 course lunch for £15, also available midweek evenings for £18.50 which is excellent value. Gourmet menu also available every day priced at £29 for 6 courses.
