Gillingham is a town in Kent, close to Rochester, Chatham and the Medway Estuary. Historically an important maritime town, Gillingham was home to a large naval base until the mid 1980's when its closure meant that the town's employment and skills base needed to diversify and Gillingham Business Park saw a wider range of companies setting up in the area and making the business park into one of the most important commercial sites in Kent.
