Thurston Helicopters Ltd ara a Helicopter School and Pilot Training Centre Based at Headcorn airfield at Ashford in Kent.

We have been training people to fly and achieve their Private Pilots Licence (PPL) for over twenty years. Our school can also provide trail lesons and experience flights for those who would like to test out the helicopters before decidng on whether or not they would like to fly them. Thurston Helicopters Ltd have vast amounts of experience in training people just like you to fly using helicopters and our well equipped and maintained helicopter is the ideal starting point. The fleet consists of two Robinson R22 Beta IIs and one R22 Beta. We also have two R44 Raven Is (hydraulic) which are a joy to fly.

Thurston Helicopters also offer a wide range of other products including experience flights where you sit back and relax whilst we do the flying allowing you to get used to the thrills of being in a helicopter. Obtaining your Private Pilots Licence PPL (H) is probably one of the most satisfying things you will ever do!

Why not treat yourself or your friends to a gift voucher. This entitles the holder to an experience flight or a trial lesson (you take the controls!) in one of our helicopters here at Headcorn. They make an ideal and really unusual Birthday, Christmas, Mother's or Fathers Day present. We normally supply vouchers that last for six months (the recipient must contact us before the expiry time to book the flight even though we may fly after the 6 month period).
