Paul, Cheryl welcome you to our home on the microclimatic southern side of the idyllic Isle of Wight. The house is situated on St Boniface Down elevated above the historic village of Bonchurch and has spectacular panoramic sea views from most rooms and also from the dining room. We offer a warm welcome, comfortable, luxury accommodation and excellent freshly prepared food using island produce wherever possible. Dining experience for non resident guests available. Your country house holiday retreat is the perfect peaceful location - we regret we do not have suitable accommodation for families with young children, we are "adult only" [over 16 years] and do not accept dogs.
Enjoy one of the Island's most spectacular views across our front gardens to the Channel. We are delighted to present the Seascape Dining Room. Fine dining using locally farmed meat, fresh fruit, vegetables and locally landed fish wherever possible is a key part to our menus. We make every effort to cater for all special diets and requests. Following dinner relax in one of the comfortable sitting rooms, conservatory or in the summer months the garden with coffee or tea and as you haven't to drive home a liqueur, brandy or port from our selection. Ala carte dining from around £23.50 per person for 3 courses with coffee.
The Leconfield is in a very quiet location yet conveniently positioned on the A3055 one mile from Ventnor and 2 and a half miles from Shanklin. You will find us an ideal walking base with many choices across the St Boniface downs or coastal walks from the front door. We reputedly enjoy the highest sunshine hours in the UK with mild winters yet there are many attractions for all weathers many open all year:- Appuldurcombe House and falconry Bonchurch pottery Ventnor botanical gardens And not too far away Arreton Barns Brading Roman Villa Amazon World Morton Manor Plus much more only a short distance around the Isle of Wight.
