Broomhills Shooting Ground

Set in 60 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside only 8 minutes from Junction 9 of the M1, Broomhills offers some of the finest sporting shooting facilities in the Home Counties. The Shooting Ground, accessed by well laid "mud free" paths meandering through picturesque woodland, is equipped with the most modern equipment, we are able to provide excellent shooting for the novice and experienced shots alike. Clay pigeon shooting is one of the few sports suitable for both male and females of any age and any ability. Broomhills has a varied and flexible programme of activities to cater for all types of visitor. We offer private practice, open practice shoots, lessons and competition. We have special sessions for youngsters and beginners We have the ideal venue for corporate events, sales meetings, seminars, team building, stag and hen events, and even themed parties

Our list of things to do is endless, and only limited by your imagination. Apart from Clay Pigeon Shooting we can offer Quad Biking, 4x4 Off Road Course, Cross-bow, Indoor Laser Clays Shooting, Muzzle loading and Air rifle shooting, Zip wire, Fair ground rides, Casino Tables, Rodeo Bull, Dinner Dance, Cabaret etc.. Our well stocked shop offers all manner of firearms and clothing and accessories. All guns and rifles may be tried on our premises prior to purchase with no obligation. We also have our own workshop where you can leave your gun or rifle in the capable hands of a qualified gunsmith for servicing or repair. We also offer a secure Gun Storage Facility for those wishing not to hold a firearm/s at home. The added advantage of this being that you are not restricted by the regulations regarding the carriage of your gun in a vehicle.

Tuition

Our First Shots days are designed to introduce novices to the sport of clay shooting in COMPLETE SAFETY with expert tuition from an experienced professional Instructor. The FIRST SHOTS day package includes all instruction, gun hire, clays and cartridges, lunch and all day refreshments. Why not come along with a friend or even buy the day as a gift. Places are limited so please book. Your day will begin at 9:30 with tea/coffee/biscuits, and a greeting from your Instructors. An introductory lecture on gun handling, safety etc. will then take place in the Gun Room, and you will have the opportunity to see and handle the wide range of guns on display. Your Instructor will then take you out to the shooting Ground and the practical part of your day begins.
