Potters Bar is a town in Hertfordshire , near to Greater London and close to the M25 motorway. It has excellent road and rail links as well as being within easy reach of both Heathrow and Stansted airports.
Close to to Barnet, the name Potters Bar is thought to derive from evidence of a Roman pottery that was sited there before the town. The growth of the town kickstarted with the implementation of rail links that connected Potters Bar with both London and Peterborough , attracting people to settle in the area.
Though Potters Bar is a relatively small town, there are some notable attractions in the area such as the famous Elstree Studios, De Havilland Mosquito Aircraft Museum and Whipsnade Animal Park.
