The Searson family Funeral Service are a family owned and operated business extending thirty years of experience in all aspects of our profession. We firmly believe that each and every funeral should be a reflection of the life lost, depicting the personality, love and character. A funeral is more than just a time to say farewell, it is also an opportunity for all to gather as one, and to celebrate the memories and provide a fitting tribute. We take a great deal of pride in being able to tailor precisely the a service to meet the varied and individual needs of our families. We extend a vast range of options and choices, enabling our families to create something special, a memorable day that will be remembered with positive thoughts.
We have three Funeral Home Locations: Portsmouth, Southsea and Havant, all of which are managed by a member of the Searson family. Each Funeral Home is decorated to reflect an informal, comfortable and warm environment, a place that looks homely and inviting. Each Funeral Home has a lovely Memorial Chapel where time can be spent visiting a loved one in tranquil surroundings. We have extended opening hours, although we can be available at any time, any day by appointment. However, should you feel that a home visit would be more beneficial for you, we will happily come and see you.

The Searson Family Funeral Service can boast some of the most comprehensive qualifications in the funeral industry. We have a QUALIFIED Funeral Director who gained a Diploma through the National Association of Funeral Directors. A QUALIFIED Embalmer who exceeds the requirements set by the National Examination Board of Embalmers and a QUALIFIED Funeral Service Manager gaining a Diploma in Funeral Service Management.
Many people perceive the Funeral Director to that sombre image of yesteryear, dressed in balck, formal and lacking personality. The Searson Family Funeral Service are very much forward thinking in their approach, a modern business that embraces traditional values. Services have been developed to reflect a more celebrational approach to funerals, remembering lives, saying farewell in a way that affords a sense of pride.
