Would never recommend Radio Taxis to anyone because of what happened this morning. I called a cab half an hour before my partner had to travel to Southampton Uni to catch a coach to London. Someone who received my call assured me that the car would be there at 5:50 am. At around 5:45 I got an automated text saying that some black toyota was waiting outside. When my partner got ready and went outside, no car seemed to be there. When I called Radio Taxis back, a lady checked what had happened, and said that there had been a mistake and the driver went to the wrong address! When I asked (already being extremely outraged) for a new cab to be sent to the right address as soon as possible, the lady answered that our address was blacklisted (because in the past some people who booked cabs from this address did not pay) and no cabs can be sent to this address. Excuse me, there are about 15 people living in this appartment house!!! The quality of service speaks for itself. So, first, the driver went to a completely wrong address, and then just left without even trying to contact us. The telephonists did not call back either to say that the taxi was leaving. And I found out that the address was blacklisted only when there was 5 minutes left before the coach departure. Noone bothered to inform me about that when I called in advance, so that I could contact a different taxi service. In the end my partner lost the money he paid for the coach ticket, and had to take a train (which is around 35 pounds one way in peak times) in order to be on time for his appointment in London. So instead of writing a lot about 'improving standards' and 'pushing the boundaries' on your website, it would be great if Radio Taxis could provide at least the very basic service which is being informative and on time.
