Welcome to GLA Roofing Limited. Although we are a fairly new company, established in 2003, we have been involved in the slate/tiling industry for over 25 years. Andy Bird, our Contracts Manager, has run some major tiling contracts, including store extensions for Sainsburys at Stanway and Norwich. Lesley Addy, our office contact, has also been working in the roofing industry for 14 years. We are happy to offer you all types of roofing services, domestic and commercial. Although we have been involved on some major commercial projects, we are equally able to offer private individuals re-tiling works, repairs, renovations, refurbishments, or even just replace some slipped slates. Amongst our recent projects are a prestigious development of new-build barn style houses and Grade II listed barn conversions at Hamels Park, Buntingford; a beautiful new manor house in Cambridgeshire; several new bungalows in Essex and re-tiling a dove house shed at a local National Trust site. We also work on numerous extensions and loft conversions to private houses. We have a local dedicated workforce, most of whom have worked with us for many years, and we aim to provide a reliable service at a competitive price. Give us a ring and give us a try.
Obviously this depends on what size, shape and pitch the roof is. It also depends on what material is being laid on the roof and what is being stripped off. A conclusive list of what is needed and what is available is offered with all our free quotations. Unless requested in writing, there are no hidden extras within any of our quotations. What you see is what you pay. We can normally undertake work within a month of securing an order. We work closely with our scaffolding contractors to enable that once a date is agreed, we can commit all our services to enable us to start and finish on time. Timescale depends on the size of the structure and the product being used, but we can tell you within 2 days how long a project will take. (UK weather permitting)
As we wouldn't want uninsured contractors working in or on our homes, we wouldn't expect you to. We are fully insured and a copy of our insurance documentation is available on request. All new tiles and slates carry a guarantee from the manufacturer. Second hand materials do not. As a company we do not offer a guarantee as such - most are not worth the paper they are written on. However, what we do offer is a list of satisfied clients, builders and contractors that we have worked with over a number of years. We achieve a lot of return business, due to our willingness to iron out any problems that may occur. Should a problem arise after we have completed all works, one phone call will enable us to return. We never ask for money up front. An invoice is raised once the work is complete. We never expect to be paid unless the client is 100% happy.
