The Eastbury is a fine example of an early Georgian residence. Today it is a boutique town house hotel, we have graceful, light and spacious rooms which offer home-from-home comfort throughout. We are proud of the exceptional level of personal service, customer care and the food we offer. This is recognised by the English Tourism Council Silver Award, an accolade based purely on quality, and this year we were a winner in South West Tourism's excellence awards in the small Hotel category. Our hotel is unique in the fact that although it is in the centre of town, it has one acre of walled garden and lawn behind it, giving it a "country house hotel" feel. We are also ideally situated in the quiet, lower part of Old Sherborne, within walking distance of the Abbey, the shops and the castles.
The 23 bedrooms, named after traditional English flowers and trees, have been individually decorated and furnished. Each has its own bathroom, with bath and/or shower, flat screen digital television, radio and direct-dial telephone. all our rooms are non-smoking. Our Conservatory Restaurant, which overlooks the walled garden and lawn is award winning, having been awarded two AA Red Rosettes. Here, we pride ourselves on preparing and serving the finest dishes using local produce, last year we were awarded a gold in the Taste of the West Awards, one of only two restaurants in Dorset to be achieve this, and one of only nine in the whole of the South West.
