When you have no restrictions on where to put a building you tend to put it in the best place, so when they were rebuilding the Queens Hotel in 1826, that's exactly what they did. Situated in the geographical centre of Cumbria, surrounded by the Lake District National Park and close to the conveniences of this beautiful market town, it is small wonder that the Queens Hotel has always flourished. We have built our reputation on providing comfortable guest rooms with a friendly, relaxing service that is second to none. The Queens has been a family run hotel by the Williams family for over 23 years. We pride ourselves on the fact that many of our guests return to us year after year - a testament to our hotel and our staff.

We have 35 ensuite guest bedrooms here at the Queens, with a variety of room styles and sizes reflecting the history of the hotel. We have reflected this diversity in our prices. Some rooms have superb views of the Lakeland Fells, Skiddaw and Borrowdale. All our rooms are comfortable and well appointed, each with colour TV and tea & coffee making facilities. We have a selection of single, double and twin rooms to suit every requirement and budget. All our rooms come with the same superb standard of friendly, home-from-home service that our reputation is built on and of course, a hearty full Cumbrian Breakfast every morning.
