Stagecoach Theatre Arts is a national organisation with 20 years of experience in training young people in the Performing Arts. Stagecoach Yarm has been in existence for 11 of those years since September 1997. Jamie Bell of "Billy Elliot" fame was one of our original students. During the time that we have been in existence in Yarm, we have won five awards at local, regional and national level and been finalists for two more.
Children aged from six to sixteen come to us for three hours a week, to train in Dance, Drama and Singing. We perform for parents twice a year and enter our children for accredited examinations on a regular basis. We also have older students aged from 15 to 18+ years. Students progress into these advanced classes from our regular main schools. At the other end of the scale, we train children aged from 4 to 7 years for 1.5 hours a week.
All our schools are inspected by an independent team of inspectors annually, without prior warning. We have an active and regularly reviewed child protection policy. We have a dedicated Agency seeking professional performance opportunities for our children. Our parents receive regular written reports and our children receive 6 complimentary copies of a professional magazine "Young Performer" every year.
