A family run traditional hardware and DIY shop. The emphasis is on friendly helpful service. The shop has extensive stocks and enjoys the local reputation that if Tindalls don't stock it nobody will. Although this is not quite true we will do our best to source items for customers if we do not have them in stock. The shop is in an 18th century building which is originally believed to have been a farmhouse. We know that a business selling hardware has operated out of the premises since at least 1910 when it was also the local wheelright carpenters and undertakers. As late as the 1970's kits were still being sold to local village carpenters to make coffins for £6.10s each with a choice of two styles.
Today along with our own extensive stocks we also can call on the expertise of The British Hardware Federation of which we are members. We are a key stockist for Toolbank who as the name suggests are a major supplier of hand and power tools If we do not have an item in stock we can normally source it from them within one working day (goods ordered before 3:00pm delivered teatime the next day).
