We are a breeding and showing kennels in Middlesbrough. We breed Lowchens, Poodles & Pugs. We have been breeding dogs for about 4 years. We have had a lot of success in the show ring including a 1st at Crufts 2007.
I have been working with and showing dogs for 10 years. I started out studying veterinary nursing, which led me too studying kennel and cattery management and gaining my diploma in dog and cat grooming. After completing my education I went on to open my own grooming parlour, K9 Style Master, in 1998. My shop is now a very recognised grooming parlour in the North East, with a great team behind me. I was then able to concentrate on showing standard poodles, which I have showed successfully for 4 years. Then my interests turned to the toy poodle. After successfully showing this breed, I then decided to start breeding this breed. This is when Sharlarna Kennels was founded. I first got my Lowchen puppy bitches 2 years ago, one of which has done really well in the ring, gaining 3RCC, BP, BPIB and a 1st at Crufts. My other puppy has become a breeding bitch who recently had her first litter of 3 puppies, 2 of which have stayed here at the kennels and one went to a friend who is a top breeder of pugs and this is when my first pug, Norman, came to the kennels.
