Stockport is a large town in Cheshire in the North West of England that lies at the head of the River Mersey. Its town centre offers the visitor excellent shopping with most of the big high street names being found at Merseyway Shopping Centre and a wide range of shops in the nearby streets.There is a wide range of local attractions within the city and within easy reach that include Hat Works, a museum dedicated to the hatting industry, Stockport Museum and Stockport Art Gallery. The town is also well served by rail and road access and Manchester and Liverpool are only a short drive away.
