About Chester

Chester is the historic county city of Cheshire in North West England, close to the English-Welsh border. The city has a very popular shopping centre with its medieval 'rows' of two levelled shops being just as popular as modern developments including The Mall Grosvenor and The Forum Shopping Centre. Steeped in history, Chester's skyline is dominated by the stunning Chester Castle and other historic attractions include Chester Cathedral, Cheshire Military Museum and Grosvenor Museum which explores Chester's Roman heritage. The River Dee flows through the city centre and hosts a range of leisure activities from fishing and boating to leisure cruises.
