Our offices and works are situated in Shieldhall, Glasgow and Cheadle, Stockport adjacent to our parent company, Barclay + Mathieson Limited, a major Steel Stockholding group, with an Annual turnover in excess of £30 Million. Our workshop area is around 5000 square metres. Our main fabrication bay is capable of handling single units of 10 metres wide x 15 metres long, weighing 12 to 15 tonnes, with 4 overhead cranes, multi burner profile burning machine and brake press, we also have facilities for plate bending and rolling, as well as heavy sawing and drilling. We currently have a workforce of 20, with 15 in our workshop including 2 coded welders. Welding processes include mig (flux cored wire), stick and tig - depending on application.
Our range of fabrication work includes structural steelwork, piping, tanks, pressure vessels, walkways, platforms, ladders, stairways, hand railing, horizontal and vertical bulk storage tanks, lintels etc. Full erection service is available.
