Many years of experience in vacuum engineering have given us the skills and know-how to design for performance, purpose and price. In some cases we have established a virtual company combining our own and our customer's resources for the duration of the project. Working alongside your purchasing and engineering staff, we agree the responsibility for defined tasks: identification and acquisition of quality used plant, project management, refurbishment, design modifications, subcontractor supervision, final assembly and test. This co-operation gives you a high degree of control over quality and cash flow during the build. Specnow work particularly cost effectively on your site, bringing in components prepared in our factory, utilising your facilities and personnel where appropriate to carry out the rework and assembly. Construction on site reduces costs associated with delivery, installation and acceptance. Considerable savings over new equipment are made while achieving essentially new quality and performance. We recognise what we do best but acknowledge the strengths and competitiveness of others, employing specialist contractors for large-scale metalworking and fabrication. Our rebuild service is offered for all makes of vacuum furnace regardless of size.
Our designs and training allow our users to operate with a high degree of independence. In the machine and process control software, Specnow provide a number of maintenance support features including vacuum leak detection, pump and thermocouple performance monitoring, and calibration. These help the operator to keep the furnace in good condition.
Many critical components are readily available from local suppliers. Nevertheless we provide a fast response to emergency service issues. Our recent furnaces include modem access to the plant; the customer can enable us to interrogate the system for fault finding. Some users also connect Web-Cams. In many cases we can identify corrective action without despatching a service engineer.
