Jim Worlding was born in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire in 1949. As a young lad Jim learned the importance of photo finishing and presentation from his uncle Thomas Mears and his son Tony Mears in Tom's studio's at Wisbech, preparing proof samples for weddings was very much a family affair. Jim's first camera was a Brownie Box, and the first image he had published was taken with this and published in the HMS Ganges magazine in 1966. At the back end of 1966 Jim was appointed as Ships Photographer on one of the ships in Her Majesties Grey Funnel line. Since the arrival of Digital cameras Jim has progressed from a very early Agfa with 750,000 pixels to a Canon 1Ds MK II with 16.8 million pixels. Recently published work includes Fly Past, the BBC and Sport in Wartime, NRC Handelsblad, a top Dutch newspaper. Jim supplies stock images through various web sites and has been published in Education books, Newspapers etc; and his work can be found adorning key rings, fridge magnets and other gift items. Jim is available for all types of Events from Weddings to the children's Birthday Party, but if it's a Paintball party do not expect to see the 1Ds MK II.
