ABOUT US

Spooners the Restaurant is situated in the Victorian heart of Woburn Sands, on the edge of modern Milton Keynes and this year is celebrating 21 excellent years! Martin and Susan Spooner created Spooners from a rather derelict Victorian and Edwardian terrace in early 1984 and now, 24 years later have sold Spooners to Mili and Ray Ripnar. We hope that the informal but professional atmosphere we have created allows you to relax and enjoy your own precious moments.Renound for it's excellent service and fine cuisine we pride ourselves of catering to the highest standards for you, wether it be dinner for two, a small luncheon party, or a sit down wedding! Whatever the ocaasion we promise at Spooners you won't leave dissapointed.

SPECIAL EVENTS, OFFERS, VOUCHERS & MENUS

Spooners Restaurant is an excellent venue for the smaller wedding, luncheon or evening party. We are able to adapt the restaurant to suit your needs. Our upstairs restaurant seats 38 and the ground floor restaurant can seat up to 14. Cakes, flowers, taxis, entertainers and much more can all be arranged on your behalf through our extensive supply team. A Special Offer ~ Not over-exciting, not too generous, but we would love to extend a very warm welcome to the person that books a table at Spooners Restaurant via e-mail, by offering to you, a simple after-dinner drink of your choice. A Cognac perhaps, Port or liqueur...............? Personalised Menus ~ when you reserve a table, why not ask for a personalised menu. There is no charge, but this small thought can mean a lot. "Thank you Charles?"

WEDDINGS AT SPOONERS

We understand how difficult it is to find the right venue for your special occasion. Sadly, we do not fit the dream of country thatch, idyllic views over rolling hills, Michelin starred cuisine and acres of soft lounge seating. The following, however, is a simple summary of Spooners Restaurant as a private dining destination. The restaurant is on two levels ~ the upper restaurant will seat 38 and the lower ground floor, 20. All tables are laid with white linen, fine china and glassware and our staff are well trained in silver service. Some are glamorous. We have no "sales" brochures or fixed prices but rely on our 22 years of experience to compile an event and menu specifically for and with, you the host. Every guest on the day will receive a menu with many choices of fresh food dishes. We welcome and can organise live music. Personalised menus are free of charge. Cakes, flowers, photography and taxis can also be arranged. Typically, if you require a private function for, say, 30 with a welcome drink, three courses and coffee then the charge for an evening event would be approximately £35 per person and for lunch £28. We have enjoyed many an excellent party, private, personal and contented.
