SUNPIPE - bringing natural daylight into your home, office or workplace

SunPipes were launched in the UK 10 years ago and consist of a Patented Diamond dome on the rooftop, which is connected to the aluminium tube that pipes the sunlight and daylight down to ceiling level. Typically, a 12" diameter SunPipe can light up a room 10ft x 10ft and will provide energy free lighting from dawn til dusk even when its raining. SunPipes cost from approximately 200 pounds complete and are suitable for flat roofs or any configuration of pitched roofs, with flashings suitable for tile, slate, and other finishes. At ceiling level, the SunPipes terminate in a prismatic or plain opal ceiling diffuser, which spreads daylight evenly into the room below. Light kits can also be used to provide night time lighting and light shut off dampers are also available for bedrooms or lecture rooms. In all, there are 10 sizes of SunPipes starting with a smallish 9" diameter SunPipe that is suitable for toilets, shower rooms, and bathrooms, ranging right up to large commercial and even industrial size SunPipes. SunPipes eliminate heat transfer due to the sealed tube of still air and so, eliminates heat gain in the summer months and virtually eliminates heat loss in the winter months.

The Sola-Vent is a fully integrated bathroom light/ventilation kit, incorporating the SunPipe, two compact fluorescent downlighters and a solar powered extract fan all in one unit. The Sola-Vent is available in two attractive, modern designs and is the ideal solution for bathrooms and shower rooms where ventilation is essential.

WINDCATCHER - The Monodraught Windcatcher system has proved to be the most effective method of providing natural ventilation to any commercial building, by encapsulating the prevailing wind from any direction. Clean, fresh air, relatively free from contamination or traffic pollution, is entrained at roof level and is carried down to the rooms below through a controlled damper arrangement. The ABS 350 which incorporates our 230mm diameter SunPipe system and the ABS 550 incorporating either our 300mm or 450mm diameter system. ABS MONOVENT - The ABS Monovent is a lightweight, cost effective ABS unit which is ideal for providing ventilation to all small interiors. SOLA-WIND - The Sola-wind system is a hybrid wind turbine and photovoltaic system that allows both power to be supplied from the wind and the sun.
