Gill Smith is a highly qualified hypnotherapist and stress management trainer. Her vast experience, over many years, as a lecturer in psychology, has enabled her to bring to the therapy sessions the approach which best suits the individual client.

WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis in a clinical setting as a treatment for a wide variety of psychological and physiological problems. It is one of the oldest healing techniques, and its popularity has risen dramatically in recent years because it is often successful where other treatments have failed. It is natural and safe, has no harmful side effects, and most people readily respond to it. During hypnotherapy, the body is completely relaxed, but the mind is alert. The client does not go to sleep, but hears everything that the therapist says, and is in complete control the whole time. The client and the hypnotherapist are working together to help the client overcome their problem.
