This is just a taste of the beautiful jewellery that is available at our shop in Hungerford. Why is our jewellery different? The emphasis is always on quality of design, workmanship and materials, we aim to offer you timeless elegance. Furr and Companys directors are a husband and wife team. Greg Furr is a goldsmith and designer who trained at Sir John Cass in London. His first jewellery shop was established thirty years ago in Wokingham. The move to Hungerford came in 1995. He now works with his wife Rachel, a gemmologist, whose background is in the London auction world. She is still an Antique Jewellery consultant for several auction houses as well as private clients. They are members of the National Association of Goldsmiths and the Gemmological Association of Great Britain
Jewellery designed for private commission also forms an important part of our work. This may take the form of producing original designs, providing working sketches and selections of gemstones from which the client makes their choice, or bringing new life to a rarely-worn piece of jewellery.
We have an on-site workshop where expert advice is available on repairs. We can offer the best of traditional methods, coupled with the advantages of laser technology. We provide a comprehensive in-house valuation service for insurance, probate and open-market purposes. We are also happy to arrange to visit you by appointment in your home or security deposit if this is more convenient.
