Based in Bristol, Bristol Blue Glass was founded back in 1988 by James Adlington, with the help of glass maker Peter St Clair. The aim was to re-establish a tradition that had been lost for over 60 years, the art of glass-making. Twenty-seven years on we, at Bristol Blue Glass, still endeavour to keep the tradition alive.
Although we are most famous for our traditional Bristol Blue Glass, our work also includes our Ruby range and in our Studio Shop you will find a wide variety of art glass in an array of beautiful colours and many stunning pieces of handmade jewellery.

Blow your own unique blue glass!
Founded in 1988 by James Adlington and Peter St Clair, at Bristol Blue Glass we're working tirelessly to keep the ancient tradition of freeblown glass alive.
Our famous Bristol Blue Glass, with its deep cobalt hue and light - reflecting qualities, is renowned throughout the region, inspiring many admirers and imitators. Hand - blown using time - honoured techniques and the simplest of tools, it has been used to create decorative baubles, tableware and jewellery.
We also create cranberry red glass, known as our Ruby collection, and clear glass. Each piece is unique and guaranteed to be individually handmade in Bristol. At our showroom, you'll discover a wide range of items created by our expert craftsmen, including Peter St Clair.
