I believe that empathy and understanding are essential to enable you to overcome your problems, along with trust, honesty, and knowledge. If you would like to talk to me and find out how I can help, or book an appointment, please feel free to call, text or email me.
Now let me tell you a bit more about myself. I was born in Forest Gate in 1960, and have lived and worked in East London for most of my life. Since leaving school I have worked in a wide range of jobs; everything from building work to banking, with my main careers being in the Civil Service, the Police, and Youth Offending; working with young offenders and victims of crime.
In the late 1990s my wife, Donna, went into therapy following close family bereavements. The change in our lives was amazing, and led to us both deciding to train as therapists. In 2000 I completed a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy and opened my first practice in Burges Road, East Ham.
These days I live in Hornchurch with Donna, our daughter, Katie, and our baby son, Morgan. I continue to work in Burges Road, as well as the City of London, Stratford and South Woodford. I have continued my hypnotherapy and counselling training to advanced level, and have trained in a range of therapeutic approaches.
My qualifications and memberships include:
Dip.SACH.Hyp - Diploma in Cognitive and Analytical Hypnotherapy awarded by SACH (The School of Analytical and Cognitive Hypnotherapy) and externally accredited by the NCFE -
BACP - As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy I am bound by their 'Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy' -
SQHP - Senior Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice, awarded by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) -
GHR Reg. - Member of the General Hypnotherapy Register -
UKHR - Member of the UK Hypnotherapy Register -
MHA - Full member of the Hypnotherapy Association -
MFETT - Full member of the Fellowship of Eclectic Talking Therapists.
I am also a certified practitioner of Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Non-Violent Communication (NVC).
The most important thing, however, is the rapport between client and therapist, built on understanding and trust. My promise to my clients is :-
* To listen
* Not to judge
* To respect everyone as individual human beings, regardless of race, faith or beliefs
* To respect privacy and confidentiality
* To be honest
* To do the best I can.
If you've read this far it means you need help with something, but maybe feeling anxious about making that call or sending an email or text. There's really nothing to be afraid of so why not do it now and start changing your life for the better!
