PLAYGROUNDS (UK) LIMITED is a small but well established independent family owned business specialising in laying playground impact absorbing safer surfacing, principally wetpour and artificial grass. We also offer a range of supporting services - groundworks, equipment installation, and maintenance. Our aim is to provide a quality service with personal supervision to customers large and small. Customer satisfaction is our number one goal: the amount of repeat business we win indicates that we achieve it, time after time. We will always provide excellent value for money, but make no promise to always be the cheapest. We use only top quality materials and equipment that will stand the test of time.We work mainly in the southern half of Great Britain for leading equipment manufacturers and local authorities, as well as schools, nurseries, parish councils, village halls and diverse commercial organisations. Our projects will, at all times, conform to relevant standards and best practice. Our Playfall wetpour impact absorbing safer surfacing always includes an EPDM wearing course and meets the rigorous standards of BSEN:1177 as certified by RAPRA Technology (the Independent Polymer Research, Technology and Information Centre.

Almost all play areas will require some form of impact absorbing safer surfacing. In most cases it is required to provide protection against head injuries caused by falling from play equipment. Some equipment may be low enough not to need fall protection according to the letter of the standard, but its use is wise to minimise problems in the unfortunate event of an accident, and to protect grass from turning to mud in wet weather. The choice of safer surfacing should be a major consideration in the planning of any play area. It will comprise a significant part of the capital budget and may incur maintenance costs year on year which can drastically affect the overall cost of ownership of the playground.

Exor - A comprehensive accreditation and pre-qulification scheme for contractors to the public sector. SAPCA - The Sports and Play Construction Association. Playgrounds (UK) Ltd is accredited as a Principal Contractor for the construction of Play Surfaces.
