Britannia Bradshaw

Britannia Bradshaw was established in Stockport in 1884 as John Bradshaw & Son Ltd. We relocated to our new purpose built warehouse at Trafford Park, Manchester in September 2004, a facility specially designed for the storage of household furniture and effects. Britannia Bradshaw are proud of the fact that many of the leading national companies form our client base. These include The Co-operative Group, UMBRO, George Wimpey, Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC, Adidas 3663, BAE Systems, Balfour Kilpatrick, Manchester Airport Plc, BBC and the big Lottery Fund. We also work closely with local government offices in the North West and are proud to have amongst our clients Manchester City Council, Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and Bury Council.

Local and UK Removals

Our trained pre-move surveyor will arrange to visit you at home. He will complete a comprehensive pre-move survey discussing with youwhich items are to be moved and if anything is to stay. Carpets, curtains, light fittings and other fixed effects will be covered including any pieces of furniture which may be of special concern to you or anything that we feel will need extra consideration due to their size or weight. We then create a detailed tailor-made move plan advising of you of our expected itinerary and confirming everything that was agreed during the pre-move survey. Part of the pre-move survey is to consider the kind of access you have at your present and new homes. For example, we may use two smaller vehicles if there isn't enough access to get one large lorry close enough to your new front door. Because we agree all the details of your move with you in advance, you can be confident that we will provide you with a quality service in line with your budget and your expectations. Britannia offers a full packing service using the latest purpose made materials and traditional skills to ensure the safest possible journey for your belongings. Packing is a specialist skill, so we always recommend that you leave it to our professional staff. Our removers wrap every piece of furniture individually and upholstery is protected with individual covers and we can pack your clothes into portable wardrobes. Large pictures and mirrors can be overcarded and any I.T. equipment can be packed using Techno-Cartons. Particularly vulnerable items can be packed into their own protective timber cases. If, however, you prefer to pack your belongings yourself, we offer a range of high quality packing materials for you to use.

Storage

During the process of your removal, Britannia is fully aware that storage may be a requirement for a period prior to delivery. Short or long term storage can be provided by Britannia Bradshaw. Our warehouse is based near Manchester. We have over 1400 wooden storage containers and can also store loose items such as ladders, carpets and large sofas. Security is of paramount concern to us and you can rest assured your goods will be looked after whilst in our care. The warehouse is on a secure privately owned road, with several external and internal perimeter fences. We also have an electric barrier which prevents access onto site unless with our permission. There is a state of the art digital CCTV system which monitors the inside and outide of the warehouse 24 hours a day. For added security there is an alarm system provided and maintained by a local security firm. We are more than happy for anyone to visit the warehouse and have a tour. A pre-move survey will be completed when it will be discussed exactly what is to be stored. Following this we will be able to confirm the numbers of containers required.
