A multi-depot, primary trucking operator providing road haulage services for blue chip clients in all sectors from industry to grocery. The company incorporates many leading names from across the industry. Syms of Calne, Parker Haulage and Hammonds Distribution have all been brought into the group to operate under one banner. Each acquisition has added strength to our operations and brought valuable international experience to the group. Our business is built upon an impressive fleet of more than 150 vehicles and 350 trailers. Our customers demand the best of us - and so we have to demand the best of our fleet. Through on-going investment we ensure that our vehicles are constantly renewed and that the fleet profile remains young. To ensure that we meet the demands of every customer, Dodd's fleet comprises a range of vehicles from vans through to 44 tonne combinations. The majority of the fleet is Mercedes or Volvo. We work closely with experienced body builders and market leaders to achieve fleet specifications, which improve operational efficiency and reliability. Vehicle liveries include customers' own as well as our distinctive, professional scheme. Across our entire distribution network, the Dodd's fleet operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In-cab communication and satellite tracking of both tractor and trailer combine with our routing plans to ensure that load-carrying is always optimised.
